About us
The Docklands Demons Ice Racing Club was established in June 2017 with the purpose of growing the sport of short track speed skating in Victoria. Our Patron is 6 time Winter Olympian, Colin Coates OAM.
Members
As one of Australia’s largest speed skating clubs, we proudly support members of all ages and abilities. Our members range in age from 7 to 83 years and over 45% are female.

Equipment & Support
As a Not-for-Profit organisation, we provide new members with free loan race suits and high-quality skates to get them started. We then provide financial assistance and advice to support the purchase of custom race suits, boots and blades. The club provides a free club racing vest with the skater’s name on the back, club badge, neck warmer and stainless-steel drink bottle with their name on it. We also have a range of branded merchandise including short and long sleeve T Shirts, cut resistant gloves, training aids and other skating related items.
The Docklands Demons is the only club in Victoria to have the latest blade radius equipment to ensure skaters have access to the latest blade profiles. We offer our services to other clubs both in Victoria and Australia.
Our coaches also offer free one-on-one coaching at O’Brien Icehouse every Friday between 11:00am and 2:00pm and provide coaching support to skaters in other States.
